Rhyl Central Beach/Seafront

The beach is long and sandy and extends for almost 2 miles from the Clwyd Estuary to Splash Point. It has a large tidal range and is very gently sloping from the low tide mark towards the high tide area, which is bordered by a promenade. Rhyl is a large, bustling resort and the beach is popular for traditional seaside activities such as swimming, paddling and donkey rides but there is also the chance to go sea fishing, surfing and kite surfing. Rhyl is ideally placed for cyclists, National Cycle Route 5, which follows the north Wales coast, runs along Rhyl's promenade. The town has a huge variety of attractions on offer and also has a wide range of shops, cafes and pubs.

Seaside Award beach. Parking with charge; all the facilities of this resort are close at hand. Lifeguard service provided 10:00 - 18:00 25 May to 2 June 2019, 8 to 23 June weekends only and 29 June to 1 September daily. Dog restrictions apply May - end September.
